Interaction with fellow students ( Ensembles)
This course is based on self-study and the commitment you give towards your music career.
No more feeding with a teaspoon – mentality allowed, as the music industry is tough out there and you need to prove yourself as a good musician.
The prescribed practical songs will be at the highest level possible, at least at international standards.
Practical : a minimum of 8 – 12 songs per term on your instrument, as well as 4 hectic songs on piano |

Projects:
Each term there will be specific projects that need to be handed in at the end of term: this includes practical and theoretical projects, research, excursions and concerts.
The reason for these projects are to get students to understand more of the industry, to learn from it through experiencing it first hand.
Concerts will be held each end of term and songs learned during the term, will be performed.
At the end of the fourth term, students will arrange a concert themselves, from printing of tickets, to selling tickets, to promoting the concert, booking of venue, stage management, setting the program etc.
Students are also encouraged to gig on a regular basis and at best to perform in a band scenario. |
