Terms and conditions:
1. The competition is open to ages 16 years and above , living in South Africa or Namibia. All employees and their immediate family that are involved with any of the sponsorships or media are excluded from entering the competition.
Minors (under the age of 18) need written permission from their guardians.
2. Participants must already have a good knowledge of the instrument they enter for. This means, have knowledge of chords etc. or at least have taken up lessons before hand. Qualifications not necessary. Winners will also need to audition.
3. The prize category is as follow:
1x Guitar Full time Course to the value of R 27500.
1x Piano Full time Course to the value of R 27500,
1x Bass Guitar Full time Course to the value of R 27500
1x Drum Full time Course to the value of R 27500.
Other prizes up for grab: 5 double tickets to the S.A. Music Institute Year End Concert held at Unisa ZK Matthews Hall, 27 November 2010.
4. The above prizes for the courses, excludes all textbooks as well as registration fee and winners must have their own instruments to practice on. Winners also need to organize their own transport or accommodation for the year.
5. The above prizes for the courses are only presented from the following premises: S.A. Music institute, Kosmosdal, Midrand, S.A.
6. The above course prizes' details are as follow: The course runs for 3 days, Tuesdays – Thursdays from 9h00 – 14h00, and operate according to the Gauteng school terms. Medium: English and Afrikaans. The course starts the first week in February 2011
7. Prizes can not be passed on to another person and can not be exchanged for monetary value.
8. The judge's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Closing date is 7 January 2011.
10. Winners will be notify telephonically no later than 14 January 2011and will be publicly announced via the organizer's media partners.
11. The first correct entry drawn per category will receive the prize for that category.
12. Winners must consent to appear in advertising media ( photo's or broadcasts)
13. Winners agree, accept and submit to the rules and regulations laid out in the code of conduct of the S.A. Music Institute ( SAMI ) (Booklet available)
14. SA Music Collectables only host this competition as a service to their customers. SAMI is responsible for the above prizes.
15. SA Music Collectables excepts no responsibility or liability for the offer of these prizes or the benefits they offer.
16. SA Music Collectables and SAMI will not be liable towards any disputes or lawsuits originating from any grievances any party might have against the organizers or SAMI, because of entering or winning the competition, entered into.
